Research and Technology Expert
I bring more than 25 years of experience in physical and life sciences with a strong background in IT, telecommunications, multimedia and medicine. My areas of expertise include pattern recognition, image processing, artificial intelligence, formal modelling and distributed computing. I initiated and led international projects streamlining the design for new wireless infrastructures and services. Throughout my career as a scientist, engineer, and research manager, I have developed a solid reputation as a strategic leader and technology innovator. My efforts have led me recently to the role of an independent researcher in the area of integral biomathics (www.inbiosa.eu, www.ibiomath.org) and in silico medicine. People who know me well say that I am an out-of-the-box thinker, often ahead of my time, but always correct with my “long nose” for innovations.
My objective is to develop advanced research tools for life sciences and engineering that are based on pioneering the foundations of truly biology-rooted mathematics and computation. This approach is different from, but includes bioinformatics, the data-driven bottom-up inductive algorithmization of biological processes and explores novel integrative modelling techniques of deductive and abductive reasoning, as well as universal design principles to support hypothesis-driven studies.
The applications in medicine are driven by visual design-based research (DBR) and focus on the integration of “bottom-up” analytics from biomedical imaging (CTI, MRI, WSI, etc.) and “omics” data with the “top-down” graphical relational hypotheses models created by physicians to efficiently support AR-led diagnostics and therapy. This research is assisted by higher-order machine intelligence methods that go beyond the current state of the art.
I am looking for funds and partners to continue this extremely challenging and novel research. Your support will be highly appreciated. Please feel free to cognact me if you have an interesting idea to share. Enjoy exploring this web site!
